Joy of Life
Once again the sublime shore fades from view
Endless possibilities herald in the day anew
Yesterday’s woes and chronic cares call to me
She takes my hand and say’s “ let it go”
We walk towards the new day
In love with life in love with love
Her eyes are the vista’s of a brighter dawn
Suddenly the small simple pleasures are for now enough
The warmth of the sun, the caress of a gentle breeze
The softness of her hand in mine, Unseen blessings shed anonymity
The gentle waves chime in concurring celebration
A Child's distant laughter takes me to a door I’ve never opened
I turn to my love and confirmation is aglow in her eyes.
Nothing will ever be the same again
Continuation wraps its ancient arm around me
Yes the simple pleasures are more than enough
My wandering heart bids me rest and don the tranquil cap
