The Visage of a Man©

See you the scarring upon my skin....
knowest Thou that they are my courage.....
Look deep within the dark blueness of my eyes.....
to see the truth of my spirit's strength of will.....

For I am more than what you see....
I am an Eternity of Love,
for those who came before me...
I am a Warrior strong yet am a gentle heart
I do not fear to weep for those
long gone before their time
for in doing so, I retain my humanity

My truest sense of self....
in this am I.......
